Day
TOWARDS PORTO CONTE
Breakfast at the hotel, and by bus we move towards Porto Conte from where we will begin a splendid breathtaking walk until we reach Punta Giglio : the limestone promontory of Punta Giglio is one of the geographically most characteristic features of the coast of Alghero and of the Porto Conte Regional Natural Park .
Its spectacular rocky cliffs, overlooking the cobalt blue sea, and the wild natural environment are the setting for this beautiful half-day excursion.
This is a circular trek, not particularly challenging, with a length of 8.5 km and an altitude difference of just 180 metres , which can be completed in just over 4 hours .
The trek starts and ends at Polt'Agra beach and during the excursion you will also visit the evocative ruins of the military fortifications from the Second World War which are located at the end of Punta Giglio .
Free lunch or the opportunity to taste an excellent dish served at the highest point of the promontory with a spectacular view at the “Ristorante Rifugio di Mare” .
In the afternoon we descend and move by bus towards the Capo Caccia viewpoint to tackle the Escala del Cabirol with a descent and ascent of 654 steps to visit the Neptune's Grotto .
Visiting Neptune's Grotto in Alghero is one of those things everyone should do at least once in their lifetime.
Why? Because they're the most famous in all of Sardinia, and not seeing them with your own eyes would be a real shame.
Return by bus to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day
MOUNT MINERVA
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Monte Minerva towards Villanova Monteleone, where we will begin our walk: Villanova is dominated by Monte Minerva , a spectacular extinct volcano covered in forest, where you can admire another Domus de Janas burial site.
While in the woods of Mount Cuccu you will discover an archaeological park that includes a complex from the Iron Age (900-800 BC), made up of the trilobate nuraghe Appiu , a village of around two hundred huts, another single-tower nuraghe and a Giant's tomb with two dolmens., start the walk up to the Monte Minerva plateau .
At the end of this walk we could stop to eat an excellent typical platter at Palazzo Minerva .
On the way back, stop at Puttu Codinu for an optional visit to the Domus de Janas: the nine Domus de Janas of the Puttu Codinu necropolis represent - together with the settlement of the nuraghe Appiu - the most famous archaeological site of Villanova Monteleone .
The name of these 'houses of the dead', dedicated to fairies (janas), but in reality collective tombs of a village that must have arisen nearby, means 'rock well' and can be dated back to 3500 BC.
At the end, board the bus and return to the hotel in Alghero , dinner and overnight stay.

Day
VISIT TO BOSA
Breakfast at the hotel, check in by bus, and departure for Bosa to visit the town. Bosa is the main center of the historic Planargia region, a place steeped in artisanal and gastronomic traditions. It welcomes you with a glass of fine Malvasia, one of Sardinia's most beloved sweet wines, and showcases its finest products: coral jewelry, asphodel baskets, textiles, including filet, born from ancient women's skill, and, last but not least, its catch.
At the end, continue to Macomer and stop to visit the Well of Santa Cristina : the archaeological site is located a few dozen meters from the Christian-medieval one, immersed in the greenery of centuries-old olive trees.
It is divided into two nuclei: in the first you will find a well temple, dating back to the final Bronze Age (12th century BC), surrounded by a sacred enclosure (themenos) in the shape of a 'lock.
Finally, we'll head to San Giovanni di Sinis, where we can enjoy a casual lunch at one of the local beachfront kiosks. We recommend a delicious roast fish, such as sardines or grey mullet , a typical local dish.
In the afternoon we begin our walk to the archaeological site and visit.
The stop at San Giovanni allows us to admire the depths of the sea to our right and the clash with a steep cliff overlooking the sea that when it encounters the mistral wind turns it a deep blue and is often lost in the gaze.
Thus we arrive at the archaeological site of Tharros : the ruins of the ancient city stand on the southern edge of the Sinis peninsula, in the territory of Cabras .
The 'air museum' is a natural amphitheatre overlooking the sea and bordered by the isthmus of Capo San Marco and the hills of the village of San Giovanni di Sinis and Su Murru Mannu (large muzzle), at the top of which you will find the oldest evidence, the remains of the Nuragic village, abandoned before the arrival of the Phoenicians.
At the end, transfer to the hotel in Oristano , dinner and overnight stay.
5th
Day
FONNI
Breakfast at the hotel, board the bus, and depart for Fonni. Here, we reach the central part of Sardinia, home to all of Sardinia's typical roots and traditions.
We will begin a walk along the Gennargentu mountains up to Punta La Marmora .
Fonni stands at an altitude of one thousand metres, making it a famous ski destination, also thanks to the ski lifts on the Spada and Bruncu Spina peaks (over 1800 metres).
In winter it is characterized by heavy snowfalls and white peaks, in the other seasons it offers enchanting colors: peony, gentian, dog rose and purple flowers frame the forests.
It's an environment for intense trekking , through woods and springs, in bird reserves where you can observe various rare species. Lunch is free.
In the afternoon, board the bus and transfer to Cala Gonone , dinner and overnight stay.
6th
Day
WALK TO CALA LUNA
Breakfast at the hotel, start of the walk to Cala Luna along the path.
One of the wonders of the Gulf of Orosei and the entire Mediterranean, Cala Luna is a cove carved between cliffs, with a dazzling 800-meter strip of fine, golden sand at its center that plunges into the clear, azure sea.
Its seabed, shallow for the first few meters, quickly becomes deep, making it popular with snorkeling, diving and spearfishing enthusiasts.
The cove with Polynesian features stands at the mouth of the Rio Illune, a stream that over thousands of years has carved out a long canyon, the Codula di Luna .
The water flows along the gorge for kilometers and feeds a small lake behind the beach, surrounded by a grove of oleanders and Mediterranean scrub.
Lunch is free. The return trip by boat is scheduled for approximately early afternoon. Board the bus and continue to the Cannigione area, where you'll arrive at your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
7th
Day
BEAR'S HEAD
Breakfast at the hotel, board the bus and transfer to Capo D'Orso with a visit to the rock and continuation to Capo Testa .
The gigantic rock of Capo d'Orso, in its millenary immobility, dominates the entire gulf.
The name derives from the appearance it has assumed: that of a bear with its head turned towards the sea that invites, from the top of the promontory, to be intoxicated by a surprising spectacle that constantly attracts thousands of tourists.
Capo Testa, on the other hand, is a rugged and fascinating promontory that almost seems like an appendage of the well-known town of Santa Teresa di Gallura .
So detached, a world apart from the VIP resorts of the north-east, it might seem like an island but it is in all respects a peninsula.
It is connected to the rest of Sardinia by an umbilical cord of land crossed by a road with two famous beaches on either side, namely the Spiaggia dei Due Mari, our destination.
It overlooks the Strait of Bonifacio , the stretch of sea separating Sardinia from Corsica, and is shaped vaguely like a human head, hence its name. Lunch is free.
In the afternoon, meet the bus and return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
